Our annual fall stewardship campaign is finishing its second week, and continues through “Giving Sunday,” November 22nd. We will have a regular service that day, and a “Thanksgiving” potluck afterwards.
This is the time of year that we ask our members and friends to consider how they can support our congregation, not only with financial gifts, but also with gifts of time, skills or talents. All three are needed in order for us to survive and thrive.
At our Kickoff Sunday, we were reminded of the importance of our liberal religious presence on the Northshore by our guest speaker, Dr. Gordon Clay Bailey of CCUU. Our message of faith in the power of love and acceptance as a transformative power is one that is sorely needed to help heal our fractious world.
Many of you have already completed the Stewardship Questionnaire and filled out a pledge card. If you have not done so yet, please consider how you may support our congregation in the coming year, and do so by Sunday, November 22nd.
Mark the date on your calendar, and plan to attend to celebrate at our Thanksgiving potluck with your church community and give thanks for all our blessings.
Colin Peden will lead the service.
