A community of shared values

RE-children
Young people of all ages enjoy the Children's Focus during the service.

Our religious exploration program at North Shore Unitarian Universalists provides a community of shared values (see side bar) in which to raise children in an exciting, wonderful environment. The UU Principles are the fundamental core of the children's religious exploration, but we also give children building blocks with which to form their own beliefs.

A balanced program

Our Religious Exploration offers a balanced program, which includes UU identity, Christian and Jewish heritage, history and philosophy of major world religions, social action, community outreach, and justice.

RE-Garden
Children ages 8 to 11 working on a service project.

Multiple approaches to learning

We acknowledge divergent learning styles and offer multiple approaches that engage the child's body, spirit, imagination, and sense of curiosity. Stories, discussion, games, art projects, and music are just some of the means we use to help children explore their world and gain new knowledge and insights upon which they can formulate their values.

Teen Program

Our teen program consists of service work, social action projects, youth rallies, and discussion groups. We have small classes and caring teachers.

Registration

Registration for each new religious exploration year is in August; however students are welcome to enroll at any time.
