Supporting North Shore UUThe various programs and operating expenses at North Shore Unitarian Universalist are supported through contributions and gifts from members and friends who share a common purpose in promoting a liberal religious presence in greater New Orleans and St Tammany Parish. Office: 985 882-0096 Supporting the GNOUU Capital CampaignNorth Shore UU is one of three New Orleans area UU churches participating in a capital campaign through the Greater New Orleans Unitarian Universalist (GNOUU). The campaign seeks to rebuild and revitalize the Unitarian Universalist presence in greater New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Supporting the Center for Ethical Living and Rebirth Volunteer CenterNorth Shore UU is one of the three New Orleans area Unitarian Universalist Congregations who accepted sponsorship of the UUA/UUSC Gulf Coast Relief Volunteer Center from the UUA/UUSC. The Center became the New Orleans Rebirth Volunteer Center. With the acceptance, the local congregations assembled a board of trustees for the Center for Ethical Living and Social Justice Renewal (CELSJR). We are pleased to say that the New Orleans Rebirth Volunteer Center is now the anchor program of the CELSJR. The Volunteer Program hosts groups who come to rebuild New Orleans and surrounding regions. The center especially welcomes student volunteer groups and provides a productive week of work and education about the New Orleans area and recovery.
